Association between low lung function and the increased risk of age-related macular degeneration: A population-based prospective cohort study

This prospective cohort analysis examined the relationship between lung function and the risk of age-related macular degeneration using data from 409,230 individuals enrolled in the UK Biobank. Lung function data (FEV1, FVC, PEF) were based on pre-bronchodilator spirometric testing, which was undertaken at the time of recruitment using the Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer.
