This study investigated the relationship between different dietary patterns in mid-childhood and lung function and incident asthma in adolescence using data from 2,950−4,491 children enrolled in the ALSPAC population-based birth cohort. Lung function testing (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio, FEF25–75) was undertaken at age 15.5 years using the Vitalograph In2itive spirometer.
