Effect of Nigella sativa supplementation on lung function and inflammatory mediatorsin partly controlled asthma: A randomized controlled trial

This single-blind, randomized trial examined the effect of Nigella sativa supplementation, as compared with placebo, on airway inflammation and airflow limitation in 76 patients with partially controlled asthma. Lung function testing (FEV1, FVC, FEF25–75) was undertaken using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer with Spirotrac software. FeNO was measured using the NIOX MINO device.
