Obesity in Qatar: A case-control study on the identification of associated risk factors

This paper described the development of a new machine-learning model designed to distinguish between obese and non-obese individuals; data were obtained from 250 obese (cases) and 250 healthy (control) individuals that were randomly selected from the Qatar Biobank. Physical and clinical examinations undertaken as part of the biobank, and used in the model, included pulmonary function testing using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer.
