The effect of adiposity markers on fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) and pulmonary function measurements

This cross-sectional study evaluated the effect of adiposity markers (eg total fat, visceral fat, muscle mass) on lung function and FeNO in normal weight (n=38) and overweight/obese (n=44) subjects. Lung function endpoints (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio, PEF, FEF25–75) were measured using a calibrated Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer, while FeNO was measured using the NIOX VERO device.
