This cross-sectional study examined the impact of chronic exposure to biomass fuel smoke on the respiratory health of 661 children under 15 years of age in urban and rural settings in Madagascar. As part of the study, lung function outcomes (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio) were measured in a subset of participants using Vitalograph spirometers with Spirotrac software.
