This study examined the influence of parental height on the risk of coronary heart disease in their offspring; the study included 2306 offspring (age 30–59 years) born to individuals enrolled in the Scotland Midspan Family Study. Outcome measures included pulmonary function testing (FEV1), which was measured using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer with Spirotrac software.
