Randomised, placebo controlled trial of nebulised furosemide for breathlessness in patients with cancer

This randomized controlled trial examined the ability of nebulized furosemide, as compared with nebulized 0.9% saline or no treatment, to relieve breathlessness in 15 patients with primary or secondary lung cancer. Patients under went lung function testing (FEV1, FVC) as part of the study, including testing using the Vitalograph dry wedge spirometer.
