Sleep disordered breathing in children with primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD)

Disease Areas:
Primary ciliary dyskinesia
Device Types:
Alpha

This clinical audit evaluated whether screening for sleep disordered breathing — independent of the presence of sleep-related symptoms — should become part of the routine follow-up of children with primary ciliary dyskinesia, using data collected from 77 patients who underwent polysomnography or respiratory polygraphy. As part of the study, FEV1 measurements were obtained using a Vitalograph Alpha spirometer.
