Age at menopause and lung function: A Mendelian randomization study

This study examined the effect of age at menopause on lung function in 94,742 female participants in the UK Biobank study. Lung function endpoints, which included pre-bronchodilator FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio, spirometric restriction (ie FVC less than the lower limit of normal), and airflow obstruction ( ie FEV1/FVC ratio less than the lower limit of normal), were measured using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer.
