Asthma and high-intensity interval training have no effect on clustered cardiometabolic risk or arterial stiffness in adolescents

Disease Areas:
Asthma
Device Types:
Alpha

This study evaluated the effect of 6 months of school-based high-intensity interval training, as compared with routine activity, on cardiometabolic risk in 65 adolescents (mean age 13.5 years) with and without asthma. As part of the study, lung function testing (FEV1, FVC) was undertaken using a Vitalograph Alpha spirometer. FeNO was measured using the NIOX MINO device.
