Asthma and occupation in the 1958 birth cohort

This study examined the relationship between adult-onset asthma and lifetime occupation and occupational exposures in 9488 subjects enrolled in the longitudinal National Child Development Study. As part of the study, patients underwent lung function testing at age 44–45 years, measured using a Vitalograph handheld spirometer.
