COPD, PRISm and lung function reduction affect the brain cortical structure: A Mendelian randomization study

This Mendelian randomization study examined the causal effects of genetic-predicated COPD and lung function indices on brain cortical surface area and cortical thickness. Data for the study were derived from various population-based sources, including the UK Biobank, in which lung function assessments (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio) were performed using the Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer.
