Domiciliary diurnal variation of exhaled nitric oxide fraction for asthma control

Disease Areas:
Asthma
Device Types:
Wedge Bellows

This study evaluated whether domiciliary daily home FeNO monitoring was useful as an index of asthma control in 50 asthmatic subjects (non-severe, n=22; severe, n=28), with results compared to those in 15 healthy volunteers. Endpoints of interest included diurnal variation in FeNO and PEF, ACQ score, spirometry pre- and post-salbutamol, and sputum induction. Spirometry tests were performed using a Vitalograph dry wedge spirometer.
