Long-term predictors of severe exacerbations and mortality in a cohort of well-characterised adults with asthma

This observational cohort study evaluated predictors of severe exacerbations and mortality over a median follow-up period of 30 years in 1071 asthma patients aged ≥13 years in Denmark. Included patients had objectively verified asthma, diagnosed based on FEV1, FVC, and PEF data obtained using the Vitalograph wedge bellows spirometer.
