Prevalence and risk factors of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease among adults aged 50 years and above—Ten CKB studies areas, China, 2020–2021

This study examined sex-specific risk factors for COPD in 18,559 individuals aged 50 years or older who were enrolled in the population-based China Kadoorie Biobank and who participated in a resurvey undertaken in 2020–2021. As part of the resurvey, two-stage lung function measurements were undertaken to screen for COPD, with FEV1, FVC, and FEV1/FVC ratio measurements obtained using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac Spirometer.
