Prospective study of disease persistence and lung function trajectories of childhood asthma

This prospective study examined predictors for the persistence of childhood asthma, using data from 181 asthmatic children who were followed up for at least five years until early adulthood. Pre-bronchodilator lung function (FEV1, FVC, FEF25–75) was assessed using the Vitalograph COMPACT II spirometer.
