Risk factors, morbidity and mortality in association with preserved ratio impaired spirometry (PRISm) and restrictive spirometric pattern (RSP)

Disease Areas:
Population study
Device Types:
Wedge Bellows

This longitudinal, cross-sectional study aimed to characterize PRISm and a restrictive spirometric pattern in terms of risk factors, morbidity, and mortality using data collected from 26,091 males aged 30–46 years from the general population in Norway. The study involved collection of pre-bronchodilator values for FEV1, FVC and FEV1/FVC using a calibrated Vitalograph dry wedge spirometer.
