This study evaluated to what extent specialized software was able to select the best curve and spirometry values, as compared with over-reader assessment, in 519 asthmatic patients undergoing serial spirometric assessment; overall, 7927 spirometric sessions were recorded at 78 sites across Europe. Spirometry was performed using a calibrated Vitalograph Pneumotrac device with Spirotrac software.
