This study examined the relationship between lung function measures and cardiovascular disease outcomes in 308,415 participants enrolled in the UK Biobank study. As part of the study, spirometric testing (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio, PEF) was undertaken by trained healthcare technicians and nurses using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer.
