This study was undertaken to propose and validate a new method for quantifying the airway response to bronchial tests, based on a spirometric curve evolution in terms of airway generation resistances and compliances. The effectiveness of the method was examined in a clinical setting in which spirometric data from three male asthmatic patients was assessed; testing was undertaken using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer with Spirotrac software.
