Reduced lung function and cause-specific mortality: A population-based study of Norwegian men followed for 26 years

Friday, December 1st, 2023

This study examined the association between different spirometric patterns and cause of death in 26,091 men aged 30–46 years who participated in the Pneumoconiosis Survey of Western Norway between 1988 and 1990. As part of the study, pre-bronchodilator lung function testing (FEV1, FVC) was undertaken using a Vitalograph dry wedge spirometer.
