So that's how you use it: How effective is education on inhaler use?

This editorial discussed the results of a trial that evaluated the effectiveness of education on MDI technique. Use of the Vitalograph AIM was examined, including its utility for collecting objective data on correct/effective inhaler technique. The use of green and red lights on the device to indicate correct and incorrect inhalation, respectively, was noted, as was the device's ability to measure "inspiratory flow, ongoing flow, and breath-hold, which are all components to using an MDI effectively".
