The burden of severe asthma in sub-Saharan Africa: Findings from the African Severe Asthma Project

This prospective, multicenter, cohort study evaluated the burden of severe asthma in 1086 children and adults located in Uganda, Kenya, and Ethiopia. Enrolled patients underwent lung function testing, which was conducted using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer with Spirotrac V software.
