The diagnostic performance of the FEF 25%-75% in the evaluation of 34 cases of asthmatic children and adolescents sensitized and non-sensitized to house dust mites

This retrospective case series examined the diagnostic performance of FEF25–75 for identifying small airway obstruction in 34 asthmatic children and adolescents with or without sensitization to house dust mites. Lung function testing (FEF25–75, FEV1, FVC and FEV1/FVC ratio) was measured using a spirometer incorporating Vitalograph Spirotrac software.
