Impact of lung function on cardiovascular diseases and cardiovascular risk factors: A two sample bidirectional Mendelian randomisation study

This two-sample, bi-directional Mendelian randomization study examined the relationship between lung function and cardiovascular outcomes, and vice versa. Genetic determinants of FEV1 and FVC were derived from data contained within the UK Biobank, in which lung function was assessed using the Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer.
