Life’s Essential 8 and risks of mortality and cardiovascular morbidity in individuals with PRISm and its associations with transition trajectories of PRISm

This study examined whether the Life’s Essential 8 metric was associated with mortality and cardiovascular morbidity in individuals with PRISm and PRISm transition trajectories, based on data from 31,943 participants enrolled in the UK Biobank. Individuals with PRISm and PRISm transition trajectories were identified based on the results of spirometric testing (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio) undertaken using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer.
