Whole-body muscle MRI in patients with spinal muscular atrophy

This descriptive, cross-sectional study examined whole-body muscle fat replacement and the relationship between muscle structure, function, and bulbar symptoms in 20 adult patients with type II and III spinal muscular atrophy. Study outcomes included lung function (FEV1, FVC), which was assessed using a Vitalograph Micro spirometer.
