Genetic risk score-informed re-evaluation of spirometry quality control to maximise power in epidemiological studies of lung function

Disease Areas:
Population study
Device Types:
Pneumotrac,Spirotrac

This study aimed to define new spirometric quality control criteria to optimize the signal-to-noise ratio in epidemiological studies of lung function. As part of the study, the association between genetic risk scores and lung function traits were tested using spirometric measurements obtained using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer in 445,541 individuals enrolled in the UK Biobank.
