Resistance training of peripheral muscles benefits respiratory parameters in older women with sarcopenia: Randomized controlled trial

Disease Areas:
Other
Device Types:
In2itive

This randomized study evaluated the efficacy of high-intensity resistance training, as compared with no specific intervention, on clinical parameters of respiratory function and health-related quality of life in 51 community-dwelling older women (age ≥70 years) with sarcopenia. As part of the study, patients underwent pulmonary function testing (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio, PEF, FEF25–75) using the Vitalograph In2itive spirometer.
