An investigation of latex sensitivity and respiratory complaints in workers in a rubber-based material manufacturing industry

This study examined the prevalence of latex sensitivity in 108 males in a workplace producing rubber-based vehicle seals, as compared with 52 control subjects. As part of the study, pulmonary function testing was undertaken using the Vitalograph Alpha spirometer.
