Spirotrac,PneumotracThis paper described the rationale for, design, and conduct of a cross-sectional study designed to characterize the nature and causes of cardiovascular disease in 4542 men and women aged 35–69 years living in Russia. Included individuals will undergo a physical examination comprising multiple measurements, including spirometry, which will be undertaken in ~50% of patients using the Vitalograph Pneumotrac device.
