Asthma
Device Types:

This paper comprises clinical recommendations issued by the ATS/ERS for the management of adults and children with severe asthma, following the introduction of new treatments in this setting (in particular biological treatments for severe eosinophilic asthma). Recommendations included in the paper are based on six specific and important questions not addressed in previous guidelines, with questions discussed by a multidisciplinary task force of asthma experts, taking into account desirable and undesirable consequences, quality of evidence, feasibility, and acceptability of various interventions. The guidelines include specific recommendations on the use of sputum eosinophil count and FeNO for guiding therapy.
