Phenotypic characteristics and asthma severity in an East African cohort of adults and adolescents with asthma: Findings from the African severe asthma project

This cross-sectional study examined the relationship between clinical/biomarker characteristics and asthma severity in 1671 patients with asthma in Uganda, Kenya, and Ethiopia. Lung function endpoints (FEV1, FVC and FEV1/FVC ratio) were evaluated using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer using Spirotrac software.
