This randomized study examined the respiratory effects of interscalene brachial plexus block, as compared with anterior and posterior suprascapular nerve block, in 30 adult patients undergoing elective arthroscopic shoulder surgery under general anesthesia. PFTs included FEV1 and FVC, measured using a Vitalograph Alpha spirometer.
