Remotely monitored therapy and nitric oxide suppression identifies nonadherence in severe asthma

This study evaluated the feasibility and utility of remote FeNO suppression testing for identifying non-adherence to inhaled corticosteroids in 290 patients enrolled in specialist severe asthma services in the United Kingdom. FeNO was measured using the NIOX VERO device, while inhaler technique was assessed using the INCA device. Data from both devices were uploaded using the Vitalograph IC Data Compression Utility and analyzed using an embedded sound analysis algorithm.
