Teaming Up for Asthma Control: EPR-3 compliant school program in Missouri is effective and cost-efficient

This study examined whether a workforce development intervention called Teaming Up for Asthma Control could improve the knowledge and skills of 54 nurses at 61 schools, and to what extent any improvement might have on students' asthma-related health, healthcare utilization, and costs. Assessment tools made available to nurses included the Vitalograph Asma-1 device for measurement of FEV1.
