[Use of a lung function screening device for identifying patients at risk for COPD in general practice]

This study evaluated whether use of the Vitalograph COPD-6 device could identify patients at risk for COPD in a sample of 17,856 adults aged >40 years in a primary care setting. Patients were identified as being at risk of COPD based on pre-bronchodilator FEV1 and FEV1/FEV6 ratio measurements and their response to a questionnaire on symptoms, history, and planned measures.
