Independent and joint relationships of physical activity and pulmonary function with the risk of all-cause mortality

This prospective study evaluated the relationships of physical activity and pulmonary function with all-cause mortality, using data from 354,572 individuals enrolled in the UK Biobank. For the analysis, patients were categorized as GOLD stage 1–4 based on the highest recorded values of FEV1 and FVC, which were obtained using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer.
