Oxidative stress associated with impaired autonomic control and severity of lung function in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients

Disease Areas:
COPD
Device Types:
Pneumotrac, Spirotrac

This study examined the association between malondialdehyde levels and pulmonary function and cardiac autonomic control in 50 patients with clinically stable COPD, as compared with 50 healthy control subjects. Pulmonary function outcomes (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio, MEF, PEF) were measured using a Vitalograph Pneumotrac spirometer.
