Genome-wide association study of asthma exacerbations despite inhaled corticosteroid use

This genome-wide association study explored novel genetic variants of response to inhaled corticosteroids in 2681 children of European descent enrolled in eight studies. In one of the studies, conducted in children and young adults aged 5–18 years with mild and moderate persistent asthma, lung function testing (FEV1) was undertaken using the Vitalograph Compact spirometer.
